The Somers (CT) varsity basketball team won Friday's home conference game against Bolton (CT) by a score of 53-31.
The Somers Spartans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Bolton Bulldogs to 31 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockville for a North Central Connecticut contest on Tuesday, January 17. Somers will battle a Rams team coming off a 49-43 league loss to Suffield (West Suffield, CT). The Rams record now stands at 4-5.
The Bulldogs (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy (Hartford, CT). The Tigers enter the North Central Connecticut contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Sports & Medical Sciences Academy triumphed over Stafford (Stafford Springs, CT), 75-40, in a league contest.
