New Buffalo Bison (New Buffalo, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Covert Bulldogs (Covert, MI), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, New Buffalo upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Bison travel to Lake Michigan Catholic (St. Joseph, MI) to play the Lakers in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Lake Michigan Catholic won 42-28 in their recent league bout against Howardsville Christian (Marcellus, MI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Howardsville Christian Eagles (Marcellus, MI) in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Covert will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
