Texas High School Basketball - Texas City nudges Friendswood

In Friday's league outing, the Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX), by a margin of 36-34.

The Stingarees (17-8) will now prepare for their outing against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX). The Indians go into the 5A Region III District 18 outing with a 17-9 record. In their last outing, Santa Fe was tipped by Friendswood (Friendswood, TX), 61-54, in a league outing.

The Mustangs now own a 13-10 record. They play next when they host Manvel for a 5A Region III District 18 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Friendswood will clash with a Mavericks squad coming off a 78-67 league win over Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 12-8.
