The Wall Hawks crushed the visiting Merkel Badgers basketball squad by a margin of 70-22 in Friday's league test.

The Hawks (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX). The Indians go into the 3A Region I District 6 test with a 16-8 record. In their last test, Jim Ned walloped Clyde (Clyde, TX), 69-64, in a league test.

The Badgers now own a 13-11 record. They play next when they travel to San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy for a 3A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, January 17. Merkel will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 67-53 league win over Coahoma (Coahoma, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 18-5.
