Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS) and the visiting Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), saw Valley Center's basketball squad overcome Salina Central by a tally of 58-41.

With the victory, Valley Center improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Northwest (Wichita, KS) to confront the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Northwest lost 69-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS)
