New Jersey High School Basketball - Southern Regional nips Toms River North
January 13, 2023: Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ) and the visiting Toms River North Mariners (Toms River, NJ), saw Southern Regional's basketball squad hold off Toms River North by a tally of 47-40.
With the victory, Southern Regional improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Manalapan won 68-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ)
Next up, the Mariners play the Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ) in a Shore A - South challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Toms River North will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 48-37 league loss to Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ).
