Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD), saw Mountain Ridge's basketball squad wallop Clear Spring by a tally of 63-35.

With the victory, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Miners host Southern (Oakland, MD) to play the Rams in a Appalachian Mountain challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Southern won 61-17 in their recent league challenge against Northern (Accident, MD)

Next up, the Blazers play the Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Clear Spring will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
