Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA), 59-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Diagonal upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Maroons host Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA) to play the Saints in a Bluegrass bout on Monday, January 16. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Warriors play the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Seymour will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Sabers come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 48-36 league loss to Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA).
