Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX), 52-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Martin upgrades its record to 11-13 on the season. The Warriors host Arlington (Arlington, TX) to clash with the Colts in a 6A Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 4-13.

Next up, the Gophers clash with the Sam Houston Texans (Arlington, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Grand Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Texans go into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 53-40 league loss to Martin (Arlington, TX).
