Wisconsin High School Basketball - Monona Grove overwhelms Madison East
January 13, 2023: Monona, WI 53716 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Monona Grove Silver Eagles (Monona, WI) and the visiting Madison East Purgolders (Madison, WI), saw Monona Grove's basketball squad wallop Madison East by a tally of 84-50.
With the victory, Monona Grove improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Silver Eagles travel to Waunakee (Waunakee, WI) to confront the Warriors in a Badger - East challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Waunakee lost 70-42 in their recent league challenge against Beaver Dam (Beaver Dam, WI)
Next up, the Purgolders confront the Madison West Regents (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Madison East will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Regents come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 63-35 league loss to Beloit Memorial (Beloit, WI).
