Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Snohomish Panthers (Snohomish, WA), 59-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Stanwood upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Spartans host Lake Stevens (Lake Stevens, WA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Lake Stevens won 71-27 in their recent league bout against Jackson (Mill Creek, WA)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Marysville Getchell (Marysville, WA) in a 2A/3A Wesco bout, on Saturday, January 14. Snohomish will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 51-37 league loss to Lynnwood (Bothell, WA).
