California High School Basketball - Desert overwhelmed by Rosamond
January 13, 2023: Edwards AFB, CA 93523 The Desert Scorpions basketball team (Edwards AFB, CA), was overwhelmed 54-33 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Rosamond Roadrunners (Rosamond, CA)
The Roadrunners now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frazier Mountain for a battle on Tuesday, January 24.
The Scorpions (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA). The Broncs come into the battle with a 0-0 record.
Fourth Quarter
Despite Double-Double from Kloyee Baldwin with 17 points and 13 steals, the Scorpions fell to Rosamond, 54-33. Leading 16-7, Rosamond went on to a 16-point run to pull further away. The Scorpions controlled the third quarter, outscoring Rosamond 13-10. Baldwin made 3 of 12 free throws, and the Scorpions attempted 29. The Scorpions controlled the paint, grabbing 26 rebounds. Isabelle Rodriguez led the team with 9 rebounds. Also contributing for the Scorpions were Isabelle Rodriguez (8 points), Kayleigh Forbes (6 points), and Kim Wolf (2 points).
