Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountain Lions confront the Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Mountain Ridge will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ).

The Monsoon now have a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cesar Chavez for a 6A West Valley challenge on Wednesday, January 18.
