Westminster Academy Lions (Fort Lauderdale, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Archbishop Alter Knights (Kettering, OH), 72-70 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Westminster Academy upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Richmond Heights (Richmond Heights, OH) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Richmond Heights lost 51-43 in their recent non-league bout against Lutheran East (Cleveland Heights, OH)

Next up, the Knights play the Westerville North Warriors (Westerville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 14. Archbishop Alter will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record.
