January 13, 2024: Paramus, NJ 07652 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ) and the visiting Bergenfield Bears (Bergenfield, NJ), saw Paramus's basketball squad hold off Bergenfield by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Paramus improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ) to play the Highlanders in a Big North - Freedom challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Northern Highlands won 41-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ)
Next up, the Bears play the NV - Demarest Norsemen (Demarest, NJ) in a Big North - National challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Bergenfield will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Norsemen come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 57-48 non-league win over St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ).
