Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Park edges Carrick
January 13, 2024: Pittsburgh, PA 15210 The South Park Eagles (South Park, PA) basketball nipped the host Carrick Raiders (Pittsburgh, PA), 52-46 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Steel Valley (Munhall, PA). The Ironmen go into the WPIAL 3A 2 test with a 0-12 record. In their last test, Steel Valley was tipped by Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA), 63-40, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Westinghouse for a Pittsburgh City test on Wednesday, January 17. Carrick will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 100-21 league loss to Taylor Allderdice (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
