Georgia High School Basketball - Cedar Grove nips Walnut Grove
January 13, 2024: Walnut Grove, GA 30052 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) and the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), saw Cedar Grove's basketball squad hold off Walnut Grove by a tally of 58-56.
With the victory, Cedar Grove improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Saints host Tri-Cities (East Point, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 15. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Tri-Cities won 78-61 in their recent league challenge against Jackson (Atlanta, GA)
Next up, the Warriors play the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Walnut Grove will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 80-67 league win over East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA).
