January 13, 2024: Maplewood, NJ 07040 The Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ), 70-65 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ). The Bengals go into the non-league test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Bloomfield got by Weequahic (Newark, NJ), 59-50, in a non-league test.
The Mounties now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Central for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Montclair will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 87-39 league loss to Immaculate Conception (Montclair, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-6.
