Georgia High School Basketball - Southland Academy ripped by Glenwood
January 13, 2024: Americus, GA 31709 The Glenwood Gators basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Southland Academy Raiders to 42 in the Gators non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Gators now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Springwood for a AISA AAA Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Glenwood will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 87-45 non-league win over Oaks (Opelika, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-5.
The Raiders (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Terrell Academy (Dawson, GA). The Eagles enter the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Terrell Academy was routed by Brookwood (Thomasville, GA), 61-51, in a league contest.
