Wisconsin High School Basketball - Somerset holds off Luther
January 13, 2024: Onalaska, WI 54650 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Somerset Spartans (Somerset, WI) and the host Luther Knights (Onalaska, WI), saw Somerset's basketball squad hold off Luther by a tally of 75-74.
With the victory, Somerset improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Amery (Amery, WI) to confront the Warriors in a Middle Border challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Amery lost 60-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Unity (Balsam Lake, WI)
Next up, the Knights confront the Viroqua Blackhawks (Viroqua, WI) in a Coulee challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Luther will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Blackhawks come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 87-54 non-league win over Brookwood (Ontario, WI).
