Florida High School Basketball - Mitchell trounces River Ridge

January 13, 2024: New Port Richey, FL 34654

The Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) basketball crushed the host River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), 77-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Gators go into the 6A District 4 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Land O' Lakes was trounced by North Marion (Citra, FL), 42-30, in a non-league test.

The Royal Knights now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Pasco for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16. River Ridge will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 73-31 non-league loss to Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 3-9.
