Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Unity Christian Lions (Rome, GA), 74-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Model upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Murray County (Chatsworth, GA) to clash with the Indians in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Murray County lost 40-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)

Next up, the Lions clash with the North Georgia Christian Academy Knights (Ellijay, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Unity Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 71-58 league win over Eastgate Life Academy (Hiawassee, GA).
