North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Halifax nips Wayne Preparatory Academy

January 13, 2024: Littleton, NC 27850

Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals (Goldsboro, NC), 69-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northwest Halifax upgrades its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Weldon (Weldon, NC) to play the Chargers in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Weldon lost 83-63 in their recent league bout against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Generals play the Eastern Wayne Warriors (Goldsboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Wayne Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 58-52 league win over Princeton (Princeton, NC).
