In Saturday's non-league outing, the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), by a margin of 71-58.

The Fighting Blues (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Green Waves go into the Pioneer outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, Narrows defeated Bath County (Hot Springs, VA), 71-38, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to East Rockingham for a Valley outing on Friday, January 19.
