January 13, 2024: Talladega, AL 35160 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Talladega Tigers (Talladega, AL) and the visiting Talladega County Central Fighting Tigers (Talladega, AL), saw Talladega's basketball squad hold off Talladega County Central by a tally of 50-49.
With the victory, Talladega improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host Lincoln (Lincoln, AL) to play the Golden Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Golden Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-16. Lincoln lost 70-38 in their recent non-league battle against Comer (Sylacauga, AL)
The Fighting Tigers (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Victory Christian (Pell City, AL). The Lions come into the 1A Area 10 battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, Victory Christian edged Ragland (Ragland, AL), 48-21, in a league battle.
