Florida High School Basketball - Wekiva nips Lake Howell
January 13, 2024: Apopka, FL 32703 Wekiva Mustangs (Apopka, FL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lake Howell Silver Hawks (Winter Park, FL), 39-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wekiva upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Jones (Orlando, FL) to play the Fightin' Tigers in a bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Fightin' Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the Silver Hawks play the Lyman Greyhounds (Longwood, FL) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Lake Howell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 58-9 non-league loss to Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs, FL).
