The Fernley Vaqueros basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Spring Creek Spartans to 18 in the Vaqueros league triumph on Saturday.

The Vaqueros now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Churchill County for a 3A Northern - East contest on Wednesday, January 17. Fernley will meet a Greenwave team coming off a 76-39 league loss to Lowry (Winnemucca, NV). The Greenwave record now stands at 14-4.

The Spartans (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Elko (Elko, NV). The Indians enter the 3A Northern - East contest with a 6-8 record.
