North Carolina High School Basketball - Mount Tabor overwhelmed by Watauga
January 13, 2024: Winston-Salem, NC 27106 The Mount Tabor Spartans basketball team (Winston-Salem, NC), was overwhelmed 77-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC)
The Pioneers now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander Central for a 3A/4A Northwestern battle on Tuesday, January 16. Watauga will confront a Cougars team coming off a 68-61 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 14-1.
The Spartans (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC). The Mustangs come into the 4A Central Piedmont battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Parkland was overwhelmed by Davie (Mocksville, NC), 58-47, in a league battle.
