Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), 62-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crown Point upgrades its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to play the Trojans in a bout on Saturday, January 20. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Pirates play the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) in a bout, on Thursday, January 18. Merrillville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
