East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN), 40-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host Columbus East (Columbus, IN) to play the Olympians in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Olympians come into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles (Osgood, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Franklin County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 53-47 non-league win over Waldron (Waldron, IN).
