New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos holds off Lovington

January 13, 2024: Taos, NM 87571

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) and the visiting Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), saw Taos's basketball squad hold off Lovington by a tally of 47-44.

With the victory, Taos improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to confront the Elks/Elkettes in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Elks/Elkettes come into the challenge with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Lovington will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 49-36 non-league loss to Artesia (Artesia, NM).
