January 13, 2025: Yorktown, VA 23692 York Falcons (Yorktown, VA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), 59-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, York advances its record to 2-7 on the year. The Falcons travel to Grafton (Yorktown, VA) to meet the Clippers in a Bay Rivers match on Wednesday, January 15. The Clippers enter the match with a record of 4-6. Grafton won 57-38 in their recent league match against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA)
The Dukes now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodside for a Peninsula match on Tuesday, January 14. Gloucester will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 86-36 league win over Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 10-0.
