January 13, 2025: Loyal, WI 54446 Edgar Wildcats (Edgar, WI) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Loyal Greyhounds (Loyal, WI), 37-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Edgar advances its record to 6-10 on the year. The Wildcats host Marathon (Marathon, WI) to face the Red Raiders in a Marawood - South match on Thursday, January 16. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 10-2. Marathon won 44-17 in their recent non-league match against Wausau East (Wausau, WI)
The Greyhounds now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenwood for a Cloverbelt - East match on Tuesday, January 14. Loyal will face a Indians squad coming off a 40-39 league loss to Columbus Catholic (Marshfield, WI). The Indians record now stands at 7-5.
