Virginia High School Basketball - York overwhelms Gloucester
January 13, 2025: Yorktown, VA 23692 The York Falcons basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Gloucester Dukes to 31 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Monday.
The Falcons now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Grafton for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 15. York will confront a Clippers team coming off a 67-23 non-league win over Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Clippers record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Gloucester falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Dukes host Woodside (Newport News, VA) to confront the Wolverines in a game on Tuesday, January 14. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 9-1. Woodside won 59-23 in their recent league game against Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA)
