Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Columbiana Clippers (Columbiana, OH) and the host Southern Indians (Salineville, OH), saw Columbiana's basketball squad hold off Southern by a count of 62-57.

With the victory, Columbiana upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Clippers travel to Lowellville (Lowellville, OH) to play the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 18. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Lowellville won 65-36 in their recent league challenge against Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH)

Next up, the Indians play the Edison Wildcats (Richmond, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 15. Southern will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
