The Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) basketball crushed the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 70-38 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Catholic was trounced by Blue Ridge (St. George, VA), 60-55, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Kempsville for a non-league test on Monday, January 17. Currituck County will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 72-63 non-league win over Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 5-0.
