In Friday's league match, the visiting North Medford Black Tornado basketball team scored a good 65-48 triumph over the South Eugene Axe.

In their next game, the Black Tornado meet the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) in a 6A Southwest match, on Saturday, January 22. North Medford will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record. The Cavemen enter the match with a 3-7 record after their 56-53 league win over Sheldon (Eugene, OR).

With the defeat, South Eugene moves to 1-7 on the year. The Axe travel to Sunset (Portland, OR) to meet the Apollos in a non-league match on Saturday, January 15. The Apollos enter the match with a record of 3-6. Sunset lost 54-42 in their recent league match against Jesuit (Portland, OR)
