The Hanks Knights (El Paso, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), 64-31 in Friday's league test.

The Knights (12-11) will now prepare for their test against Bel Air (El Paso, TX). The Highlanders go into the 5A Region I District 2 test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Bel Air walloped Horizon (El Paso, TX), 44-36, in a league test.

The Matadors now own a 12-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ysleta for a 5A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, January 18. Parkland will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 43-39 league win over Canutillo (Canutillo, TX). The Indians record now stands at 10-14.
