Texas High School Basketball - Mumford nips Iola
January 14, 2022: Mumford, TX 77867 Mumford Mustangs (Mumford, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX), 42-38 in a league bout.
With the win, Mumford upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Snook (Snook, TX) to play the Bluejays in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Snook lost 55-30 in their recent league bout against Somerville (Somerville, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Normangee Panthers (Normangee, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Iola will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 60-43 league win over Burton (Burton, TX).
