Illinois High School Basketball - Niles Notre Dame can't hold off Downers Grove North
January 14, 2023: Niles, IL 60714 The Downers Grove North Trojans basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the host Niles Notre Dame Dons to 37 in the Trojans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Trojans now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wheaton North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Downers Grove North will battle a Falcons team coming off a 69-30 non-league win over Streamwood (Streamwood, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 10-9.
The Dons (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Joliet Catholic was nudged by Benet Academy (Lisle, IL), 72-44, in a league contest.
