Florida High School Basketball - IMG Academy tops Newton

January 14, 2023: Bradenton, FL 34210

IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 61-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, IMG Academy upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Ascenders host Columbus (Miami, FL) to play the Explorers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Explorers come into the bout with a record of 16-3. Columbus won 47-46 in their recent non-league bout against Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA)

Next up, the Rams play the Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 20. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record.
