Virginia High School Basketball - Kecoughtan overwhelms Science Park
January 14, 2023: Hampton, VA 23669 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA) and the visiting Science Park Chargers (Newark, NJ), saw Kecoughtan's basketball squad wallop Science Park by a count of 75-43.
With the victory, Kecoughtan upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Heritage (Newport News, VA) to play the Hurricanes in a Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Heritage won 87-83 in their recent non-league challenge against Norcom (Portsmouth, VA)
Next up, the Chargers play the Nutley Maroon Raiders (Nutley, NJ) in a Super Essex - Freedom challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Science Park will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Maroon Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 64-58 non-league loss to Fort Lee (Fort Lee, NJ).
