January 14, 2023: Lake Forest, IL 60045 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) and the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL), saw Plainfield South's basketball squad overcome Lake Forest Academy by a tally of 58-44.
With the victory, Plainfield South improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Wheaton-Warrenville South won 68-39 in their recent league challenge against Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL)
Next up, the Caxys confront the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 16. Lake Forest Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Steelmen come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 68-35 non-league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL).
