New Jersey High School Basketball - Piscataway nips South River
January 14, 2023: South River, NJ 08882 Piscataway Chiefs (Piscataway, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host South River Rams (South River, NJ), 49-48 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Piscataway upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ) to play the Vikings in a Greater Middlesex - Red bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 7-3. South Brunswick won 63-54 in their recent league bout against Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ)
Next up, the Rams play the Metuchen Bulldogs (Metuchen, NJ) in a Greater Middlesex - Blue bout, on Wednesday, January 18. South River will attempt to upgrade on its 11-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Dunellen (Dunellen, NJ).
