Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL) and the visiting Morton Potters (Morton, IL), saw Canton's basketball squad knock off Morton by a count of 47-38.

With the victory, Canton upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Little Giants host East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to play the Raiders in a Mid-Illini challenge on Friday, January 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 1-16.

Next up, the Potters play the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 42-35 non-league loss to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL).
