The St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Ewing Blue Devils (Trenton, NJ), 66-61 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Purple Roses (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Crimson Knights go into the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Wall Township was tipped by Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ), 47-34, in a non-league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Steinert for a Colonial Valley - Patriot test on Tuesday, January 17. Ewing will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 53-41 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 8-3.
