Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), 54-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Fernley upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Vaqueros travel to Dayton (Dayton, NV) to clash with the Dust Devils in a bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Dust Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Buckaroos clash with the Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Lowry will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 38-28 league loss to Elko (Elko, NV).
