Ohio High School Basketball - Lutheran West nips Wayne
January 14, 2024: Rocky River, OH 44116 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Lutheran West Longhorns (Rocky River, OH) and the visiting Wayne Warriors (Huber Heights, OH), saw Lutheran West's basketball squad hold off Wayne by a count of 42-41.
With the victory, Lutheran West upgrades its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Longhorns host St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-3.
Next up, the Warriors play the Northmont Thunderbolts (Clayton, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio challenge, on Friday, January 19. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 74-41 non-league win over Butler (Vandalia, OH).
