Alabama High School Basketball - Sand Rock sneaks past Piedmont
January 14, 2025: Leesburg, AL 35983 The Sand Rock Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Piedmont Bulldogs to 61 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cherokee County for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Sand Rock will play a Warriors team coming off a 61-46 league loss to Alexandria (Alexandria, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Piedmont falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL) to play the Warriors in a 3A Area 12 game on Friday, January 17. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 9-7. Westbrook Christian lost 77-62 in their recent non-league game against Ashville (Ashville, AL)
