The Wakefield Country Day Owls basketball squad (Flint Hill, VA), was nudged 46-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Tandem Friends Badgers (Charlottesville, VA)

With the victory, Tandem Friends advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Badgers travel to Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a Greater Piedmont battle on Friday, January 17. The Yellow Jackets enter the battle with a record of 6-0.

The Owls now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Massanutten Military Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. Wakefield Country Day will meet a Colonels squad coming off a 71-20 non-league loss to Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 1-4.
